WHO ALESSANDRO IS MATTERS!!
Where do you come from?
I come from Milan, Italy, but I lived in Paris, France, for 12 years.
Where are you going?
Well, I hope I’ll be going to New York in the end, but next year, I’m going to Hong Kong.
How do you plan to get there?
I will get a job in New York to get to New York, and I guess I’ll just use the airplane to get to Hong Kong.
How are you like your parents?
I am like my parents in a way that I’m Italian.
How are you unlike your parents?
I’m unlike my parents because I wasn’t born in the 20th century, and I don’t listen to Pino Daniele daily.
Have you developed your own expectations for yourself, or if you were honest, would you say you’re operating under someone else’s expectations?
I set my expectations, but for a long time, I didn’t. Now, what I do is for myself. I set high and unrealistic expectations for myself, so it would be better if I didn’t since many people say that they are proud of me or couldn’t have achieved what I have.
Who, other than a relative, serves as a model for you of someone who lives life with great passion and personal responsibility?
Nekfeu, a French rapper, is a model for me. His lyrics are very deep, and he never fails to bring out the social problems he sees in his songs. He delves into many aspects of life, such as politics, poverty, and war (and love). Unlike many rappers, he never signed with a label, which means he has always been on his own, and that helped him stay true to himself and not overdo his music for promotional purposes. He continuously published songs that felt important to him, and he sang passionately.
Connecting with the animal world: what wild animal do you feel a special connection with, and why?
I have a special connection with the red panda because it is so cute. I mean that being this cute for an animal should not be allowed. Look at it standing to scare the predators:
I also feel a special connection to it because it is short. Compared to its cousin, the panda, it is short, and I relate to that because compared to other Alessandros back in Milan, I am short.
Connecting with the nature kingdoms: describe a significant childhood encounter with a tree or plant.
I don’t know if this can be considered an encounter, but a critical moment for me with nature was when I almost died on my bike. For context, I was riding my bike in nature and braked a bit too hard while going downhill. I ended up getting thrown over my bike head-first into the grass, ultimately encountering a lot of plants.
My signs:
Sun 27 degrees Pisces
Moon 29 Degrees Libra
Rising 11 degrees Scorpio
HI Alessandro, I studied abroad in Milan and loved it. The city holds a special place in my heart and it's my goal to one day live there again. I am so jealous you are from there.
ReplyDeleteCiao Alessandro!! I'm super excited to go to Hong Kong & Milan with you! I will definitely check out Nekfeu's raps. It is interesting to know that he brings out social problems through his songs. Also, the red panda is really cute.
ReplyDeleteHi Alessandro, I visited China a couple of years ago and went to a zoo in Beijing where I saw red pandas. Super sweet.
ReplyDeleteHi Ale, I can relate to your answer: I know what it’s like to have parents who listen to Pino Daniele every day! (And like you, I wasn’t born in the 20th century either!) I can definitely see why you’d want to work in New York; it’s such a magical city, and I find myself enjoying it more every time I visit.
ReplyDeleteHi Ale! I've got some unreal recommendations for your time in Hong Kong.
ReplyDeleteHi Ale, you should check out Lupe Fiasco. He’s not as popular as he used to be, but Nekfeu’s music reminds me of him—though, of course, in a different language.
ReplyDeleteHi Alessandro, I've seen red pandas and they are just as cute in real life as in the photos (just thought you should know). I have never heard of the french rapper you mentioned, Nekfue, will have to check him out sometime!
ReplyDeleteHi Alessandro, would like to hear about your time in Paris and will definitely check out Nekfaua.
